Ideas - Getting Started

Rarely will everyone like your idea.  It doesn’t matter if it is for a feature, a business, or anything.  But.  If you want to turn it into anything more than an idea, you will have to love it.  The first hurdle is loving it enough to ignore critics. If you can get past this.  You’re on your way.

This is a very good point. There are plenty of good ideas out there, but just because you come up with it doesn’t mean you’re necessarily the person to execute it - not if you don’t love it.

I think that’s an interesting thought in and of itself. This weekend, I was talking to a CEO of a company that was hired by a venture capital firm when the business idea was just a powerpoint. His role it to execute on their initial vision.

Often times the person with the idea is poor at execution. But, you still have to love the idea enough to find someone to execute on it if you’re this type of person.
