He has a leadership quality where he sticks up for people. For people at his rally. For people that work on his campaign. For Sarah Palin. I don’t think it’s enough, but I do like it about him.

Obama doesn’t?
You don’t vote against someone because they have a complete absence of positive qualities. McCain has quite a few things worth liking/admiring. But he would still make a far worse president than Obama.
Obama has amazing leadership qualities. Most of the attacks on him seem to be more personal vs against Joe. He stands up to them very well.
Several of the attacks against John are targeted at people around him. I see him as loyal. Perhaps more so than Obama, maybe not. It’s just one quality I admire about him as a leader.
Yeah, the GOP machine tends to remold candidates, but there is a glimmer of the old McCain every now and then that slips out.
